Antonioli increases Average Order Value by 15%

Antonioli is a leading high-fashion retail brand founded in Milan in 1987. It quickly became a reference point for a refined and experienced clientele, opening eight more boutiques globally and launching its e-commerce in 2008. The company is now part of Antonioli Group whose brands include Ann Demeulemeester, 44 LABEL GROUP, as well as Ristorante Sogni and Volt Club in Milan.

With the support of the agency Cooder, Antonioli decided to migrate from HiStreet to Shopify to cut the high maintenance costs of the previous platform. Shopify's scalability and speed of deployment through their app ecosystem proved to be decisive aspects. Moreover, the stability of its servers and the ability to handle traffic peaks and orders were crucial to ensure a high level performance. Finally, regular feature updates and launches enable Antonioli to stay on top of the latest innovations in the industry.

The migration supported business growth and allowed:

  • the integration of 19 international market listings worlwide
  • the management of a catalogue with over 56K Stock Keeping Units (SKUs)
  • 20% of turnover thanks to e-commerce

Integrate all price list in one store

The main challenge was the integration of a large number of different price lists into one store. To ensure better functionality at the operational level, Antonioli needed to create a communication flow between the existing systems and to integrate them with the new ones. To improve the customer experience, this needed to happen at both the back end and the front end. With Cooder's support, and thanks to its Product Information Management (PIM) and proprietary Order Management System (OMS) Powngo, Antonioli optimised its data management and improved the order management system, automating the customer returns process. "We reorganised the collections management for Antonioli, ensuring that each collection reflected the desired merchandising strategies," says Enrico Zoli, CEO of Cooder.

Centralisation and flexibility for a better user experience

Antonioli reorganised its collection management by implementing features such as the Ranking Collection app, which allows for a dynamic and customised product organisation – updated on a regular basis and without manual intervention by the merchant. This ensured that each collection reflected the desired merchandising strategies. 

Shopify allowed Antonioli’s to centralize and be more efficient. Both the e-commerce and the warehouse management were unified and brought under one roof. The warehouse management process introduced multi-list management, which enabled a flexible and scalable operation that supportsAntonioli's global operations. With the automatic enrichment of product data, the user experience was also significantly improved, facilitating navigation and purchasing on an international scale. The management and automation of RMA orders has been simplified, increasing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Better performance, more sales and lower costs

After a nine-month transition, traffic via social and affiliate channels immediately increased, supported by a more stable platform. Thanks to Shopify Flow, order management flows were handled in a customised manner, while the functionality Scripts allowed the check out to be customised according to product and market, preventing customers from buying SKUs that were not available in the country of dispatch. Antonioli now has the opportunity to think about functional policies and new commercial strategies, focusing only on business without spending time and resources on the management and customisation of a custom platform.
