JammyPack began as a retro speaker bag that connects to any phone or mp3 player, anything you use headphones with. It most closely resembles what some people call a “Fanny Pack”. We ask: What’s a Fanny Pack? This is JammyPack!
Conceived in 2009 and live to Ecommerce in 2010 and retail market in 2011, JammyPack has quickly risen into a unique and exciting must-have accessory product sought out by a diverse demographic that includes nearly everyone who enjoys music and who carries a phone or mp3 device.
How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?
As a grassroots Southern California brand, we gained a lot of traction from pure grassroots selling and mobbing at music festivals and bar crawls. From there, social media and "sharing", followed by Groupon and the 2009-2010 "daily deal" trend.
Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?
Best apps for us have been the Product Upsell and Sales Motivator. We also love Store-Finder and AbandonAide type APPS. Although none of these are perfect yet.
We began on Big Cartel and moved to Shopify 3/13. This has made my life 1000 times better. What a fantastic platform.
What are your top recommendations for new ecommerce entrepreneurs?
Keep it clean and simple.
Great photography trumps anything else you can do to make your store look professional and sell!
Free Shipping, both ways. Shoppers would rather the price include whatever you need to make up in shipping and have it free then to add at the end. If possible, do this!
