Subscription Discount Promotion
The Subscription Discount Promotion (“Promotion“) allows you to earn subscription credits (“Subscription Credit”) towards invoices for Shopify plans.
To participate, you must agree to these terms, which become part of the Shopify Merchant Terms of Service (the “Shopify TOS”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the same meaning given to them in the Shopify TOS.
- Receiving Subscription Credits: Merchants may be offered the opportunity to receive a Subscription Credit equivalent to 50% off a monthly Basic Plan, localized to the Merchant Store’s country. Merchants paying on an annual plan basis will receive the Subscription Credit equivalent to the monthly Basic plan, which will be applied to their next annual bill. Merchants may receive a maximum of 1 Subscription Credit per Store. Subscription Credit amounts awarded may vary depending on your Store’s geographic location, and are specified in the Promotion invitation or any accompanying materials. Changes to Store country may result in ineligibility to earn Subscription Credit.
- Redemption: The Subscription Credit is only applied to pay Shopify service subscription plan fees for a "Basic" plan. Subscription Credits may not be applied to any other Shopify provided service, application, purchase, taxes, shipping or delivery charges, or toward the purchase of gift cards.
- Expiration or termination: Subscription Credit expires after 180 days, unless you’re in the annual plan. If you cancel your Merchant account or store, or if your account is “frozen” by Shopify (for example, for potential Shopify TOS violations), Subscription Credit expires after 60 days.
- Non-Transferable, non-refundable: Subscription Credits are non-transferable, not valid for cash or cash equivalent, cannot be combined with other offers, and must be used in the currency in which they were received. Payments made using Subscription Credits are non-refundable.
- Taxes and liability: You are responsible for any tax liability, if any, resulting from earning Subscription Credit.
Miscellaneous
- Eligibility; Changes: Determinations of eligibility for this offer and amounts awarded determined by Shopify in its sole discretion. Shopify reserves the right to any remedy, including cancellation of your account or credits, if fraud, tampering, technical errors, or violations of Shopify’s TOS are suspected. Shopify reserves the right to cancel or change the Promotion or these terms at any time in its sole discretion.
- Notice: Any notice provided by us with respect to these terms will be deemed provided the day it is posted on our website.
- Severability: If any provision in these terms is deemed invalid, void, or unenforceable, such provision (or the part of it that is making it invalid, void, or unenforceable) will be struck and not affect the validity of and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
