Introducing the Checkout Sheet Protocol
Shopify’s Checkout Sheet Protocol is the underlying technology that powers Shopify’s Checkout Sheet Kit, offering you complete control over how the experience is integrated with your native code. It also unlocks custom checkout themes, feature configurations, and other customizations, making it easier to meet unique brand specifications and policies.
Once authenticated, the Checkout Sheet Protocol interface enables seamless communication between the embedded checkout and native code. The two-way protocol provides messages to the native app about checkout status, errors, and action requests, and the app can send messages to inform and affect behavior of embedded checkout in real-time.
How TikTok uses the new protocol
