About the role
Shop (https://shop.app/) is making shopping better one step at a time for both shoppers and the merchants they buy from. As a Senior Social Lead, you will be a key contributor to our mission of making Shop’s brand a household name by defining Shop’s owned social strategy across Instagram and other platforms and personally producing content to fit.
The ideal candidate will have experience building the social media function at a consumer brand, will be deeply immersed in online shopping culture, and will have a track record of growing engaged following and driving key business metrics. This role is an individual contributor role that collaborates closely with a matrixed team of brand marketers, partnerships managers and product marketers.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute social media plans that align with Shop’s brand marketing strategies and grow an engaged following of online shoppers
Be a market-facing face and voice of the Shop brand on social
Personally concept and produce captivating owned social content across formats and channels
Collaborate with brands and creators to inform and execute the social deliverables of Shop marketing partnerships
Collaborate with internal teams across Shop and Shopify on tentpole marketing campaigns, acting as Shop’s primary social media channel strategist
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to implement innovative strategies that enhance engagement and reach.
Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics to maximize results and report progress to management
Collaborate with internal and external teams to amplify brand marketing campaigns and product marketing launches
Qualifications
Prior experience building the social media function at a consumer brand
Ability to execute programs from start to finish, across formats and channels
Wide range of content production skills, from script writing to video editing
Excellent collaborator with internal and external stakeholders in a corporate setting
Passionate about testing and optimizing, you have successfully built a program and rolled it out at scale in the past
Takes initiative, keeps organized, pays close attention to detail, and can handle multiple projects at once
Enthusiastic and hard working with a "no task is too small" attitude
