About the role
Shopify Retail builds our POS system (software and hardware) with everything our merchants need to sell in person, backed by everything they need to sell online. We are an RnD team anchored around a mission to help merchants create incredible in-person shopping experiences.
This role drives Product Operations for Shopify POS. Shopify POS is a critical component of our product focus of unification, enabling merchants to seamlessly integrate their online and offline sales channels. As a Senior Lead, Product Operations, you will be responsible for building and running at-scale systems that ensure alignment, visibility, and speed in our product development processes for Shopify POS.
You will lead the planning system for the Retail product areas, including roadmap planning and product reviews. You will define, own, and continuously improve company-wide systems that scale to Shopify as a whole. You will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders at all levels about product progress and outcomes for your areas. Lastly, you are expected to help improve the craft of Product Operations at Shopify by mentoring other Product Operations Manager, sharing best practices, and contributing to aiming how Merchant Services and the rest of Shopify operates.

Qualifications
Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects and driving strategic initiatives for product led teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making and strategy development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail operations, POS systems, or related industries.
Prior experience working with international markets and cross-border retail solutions.
Advanced degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
