About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Partner Marketing Manager to help us build and scale the global programs and campaigns that drive engagement with  our longtail agency partners. You’ll bring this goal to life by planning, building, and optimizing partner marketing programs at scale to support Shopify partners globally and foster collaboration, engagement and growth. This role requires you to be an excellent marketer, with demonstrated ability to identify and focus on high-leverage priority initiatives.The ideal candidate has a track record of building and driving to-partner campaigns and programs with laser focus on driving impactful commercial outcomes. You are passionate about building and executing programs and campaigns that are data-driven and add value for partners and merchants alike. You are detail-oriented and well organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and managing multiple stakeholders towards a common goal.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing programs and campaigns  tailored to our longtail agency partners, aligning with Shopify’s broader goals and objectives.

  • Design and implement scalable to-partner promotional campaigns for webinars and other initiatives, to enhance partner awareness, engagement and growth

  • Own end-to-end execution of programs and campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of partner incentives and growth initiatives. The campaigns will span multiple channels, including: email, social media, paid media, virtual events (e.g., webinars), content marketing, video, nurture, and more.

  • Collaborate with Shopify’s Partner Experience, Partner Enablement and support teams to drive awareness, adoption and usage of training and resources, and ensuring alignment with merchant growth objectives.

  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize performance and inform future strategies.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends by monitoring industry trends and competitive landscape to adapt strategies for maintaining a competitive edge in the partnership ecosystem.

  • Act as a champion for partner interests, fostering strong relationships and ensuring partner voices are integrated into Shopify’s marketing strategies and initiatives.

  • Participate in partner feedback loops by actively gathering and incorporating feedback from partners to refine marketing efforts and strengthen partnerships.

  • Manage a budget and tracking system to assess the effectiveness of your marketing programs and campaigns. 

Qualifications

  • You have experience in a marketing role, within a B2B or partnership-focused environment.

  • Experience producing and leading successful demand generation and integrated marketing campaigns from end-to-end, demonstrating strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a focus on achieving commercial targets.

  • A strategic marketing mind with a solid understanding of multiple growth marketing channels.

  • Have a passion for scaling, with experience in creating repeatable and successful marketing programs that drive growth.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders with different opinions to a common outcome, with a proven ability to lead and execute projects that involve alignment and collaboration across disciplines and crafts.

  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, enabling you to stay focused on the big picture while paying attention to details.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing, CRM, and analytics tools.

  • Experience with event promotion, particularly webinars, and lifecycle marketing is a plus but not required.

  • Demonstrated a resourceful attitude, proactively seeking out information to influence action, and have the ability to thrive in uncertainty, resolve ambiguity, and think quickly on your feet.

  • Experience in the e-commerce sector, particularly within platforms like Shopify, is a plus but not required.
