About Shopify

Opportunity is not evenly distributed. Shopify puts independence within reach for anyone with a dream to start a business. We propel entrepreneurs and enterprises to scale the heights of their potential. Since 2006, we’ve grown to over 8,300 employees and generated over $1 trillion in sales for millions of merchants in 175 countries.

This is life-defining work that directly impacts people’s lives as much as it transforms your own. This is putting the power of the few in the hands of the many, is a future with more voices rather than fewer, and is creating more choices instead of an elite option.

About you

Moving at our pace brings a lot of change, complexity, and ambiguity—and a little bit of chaos. Shopifolk thrive on that and are comfortable being uncomfortable. That means Shopify is not the right place for everyone.

Before you apply, consider if you can:
  • Care deeply about what you do and about making commerce better for everyone
  • Excel by seeking professional and personal hypergrowth
  • Keep up with an unrelenting pace (the week, not the quarter)
  • Be resilient and resourceful in face of ambiguity and thrive on (rather than endure) change
  • Bring critical thought and opinion
  • Embrace differences and disagreement to get shit done and move forward
  • Work digital-first for your daily work

About the role

The Scaled Partner Marketing team plays a critical role in activating and driving demand from our partner ecosystem so they can bring more Shopify to the world. We are looking for a talented Partner Marketing Lead to join our team to help build and scale demand generation for new partner types and GTM motions. Think: scale marketing campaigns and programs that systematically support reseller partners, or partners who go to market with Shopify around specific customer segments (eg: POS).

This role will require you to be an excellent marketer who can lead high-performing demand generation programs. You have a proven track record of building and managing marketing campaigns across multiple channels, with a laser focus on driving impactful performance. You enjoy and thrive working in a cross-functional team, and managing multiple internal and external stakeholders - including C-suite - towards a common goal.

If you are a seasoned partner marketer with ideas and a proven track record of driving impact through a partner ecosystem, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and actively manage partner marketing programs that drive demand through reseller partners. Initial focus will be on partners that have a POS-first focus.

  • Propose innovative ways to scale our go-to-market efforts across partner segments, including reseller and venture capital/private equity partners

  • Quantify and qualify marketing opportunities and provide consultative support to help partners drive successful marketing activities

  • Own end-to-end execution for partner go-to-market activities and measure effectiveness of marketing programs and campaigns to improve ROI

  • Use data to gain audience and market insights to inform strategy, messaging and go-to-market

  • Manage and track a quarterly budget across performance benchmarks (pipeline, ROI)

  • Work cross functionally with Partnerships, Sales, Product and Marketing teams to drive shared commercial objectives

  • Produce and deliver presentations to internal and partner audiences

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in B2B marketing, preferably with partner, channel or e-commerce ecosystems. Working within a reseller or POS specific partner ecosystem preferred.

  • Experience producing and leading successful demand generation and integrated marketing campaigns to reach commercial targets

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders with different opinions to a common outcome

  • Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills while being able to stay focused on the big picture and pay attention to details

  • Proven ability to lead and execute on projects that involve alignment and collaboration across disciplines and crafts

  • Experience informing and influencing commercial business, and product marketing strategy

  • A resourceful attitude that can proactively seek out information to influence action

  • Ability to thrive in uncertainty, resolve ambiguity and think quickly on your feet

  • Experience working with a global company and are excellent at executing across time zones and cultures
