About the role
The Ad Sales team helps merchants grow with Shopify’s native digital advertising product, Shop Campaigns. This team plays a pivotal role in selling, implementing, and influencing the direction of the product to make the best digital advertising solution for merchants.
Responsibilities:
Achieve a quarterly paid advertising activations and overall ad spend quota.
Partner with Merchant Success Managers to develop a territory plan for a book of 250+ merchants.
Run consultative sales cycles with merchants ranging from $5M to $200M in GMV to activate new ad campaigns and grow existing ad spend.
Communicate feedback effectively with Product, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations to influence the Shop Campaigns product roadmap.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — capable of building trusting relationships and effectively conveying the value of Shopify’s offerings
Proven ability to manage detailed sales cycles and succeed in a competitive environment
Adept at high-volume sales activities and capable of maintaining focus and efficiency in fast-paced settings
History of over-achieving quarterly sales quotas
Self-motivated and driven by results, with the tenacity to pursue leads and close deals
Experience with CRM tools (for example: Salesforce) & familiarity with sales engagement platforms preferred
Capacity to progress a pipeline of 30+ opportunities forward weekly
