About the role

The Ad Sales team helps merchants grow with Shopify’s native digital advertising product, Shop Campaigns. This team plays a pivotal role in selling, implementing, and influencing the direction of the product to make the best digital advertising solution for merchants.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve a quarterly paid advertising activations and overall ad spend quota.

  • Partner with Merchant Success Managers to develop a territory plan for a book of 250+ merchants.

  • Run consultative sales cycles  with merchants ranging from $5M to $200M in GMV to activate new ad campaigns and grow existing ad spend.

  • Communicate feedback effectively with Product, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations to influence the Shop Campaigns product roadmap.


Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — capable of building trusting relationships and effectively conveying the value of Shopify’s offerings

  • Proven ability to manage detailed sales cycles and succeed in a competitive environment

  • Adept at high-volume sales activities and capable of maintaining focus and efficiency in fast-paced settings

  • History of over-achieving quarterly sales quotas

  • Self-motivated and driven by results, with the tenacity to pursue leads and close deals

  • Experience with CRM tools (for example: Salesforce) & familiarity with sales engagement platforms preferred

  • Capacity to progress a pipeline of 30+ opportunities forward weekly
