As we started to accumulate sales, we grew from a side gig to a full-time family business by 2011. For a small business like us, Shopify is perfect for being able to create a professional website at a low cost using commercially available solutions, and yet unlike Etsy, it allows for a wide range of flexibility in branding our site as our own webstore.
That was over 8 years ago. Today, her wholesale greeting card and stationery business, Cartolina, sells worldwide to some of the most iconic retailers like Harrods, Anthropologie, The Smithsonian, and the British Museum.
Before starting Pretty Presets, she had started 3 other businesses. While they weren’t successful, she learned a lot from those “failed” attempts and kept moving forward.
