About the role

Responsibilities:

 

  • Accountable for the APAC marketing strategy, execution and results, determining the best possible gtm approaches across each of your markets 

  • Create working models to bring together local and global strategies, spanning all domains within marketing to connect regional relevance with the merchant experience to inspire action

  • Own and develop APAC campaigns that integrate a variety of GTM disciplines and channels - digital, sales, partners - to deliver consistent messages across all media

  • Active and contributing member of the of the Commercial Marketing SLT and APAC SLT Deep knowledge of full funnel marketing, from how we educate and shift perception, to how we demonstrate our value proposition through solution-led campaigns

  • Demonstrable confidence and authority as a marketing lead and voice of the business into the rest of the organisation

  • Be confident on stage and presenting at public engagements to deliver relevant Shopify narratives across the APAC region, from Sydney to Singapore and beyond

  • Build high trust through regular communication of expectations and feedback.

  • Ruthlessly prioritize, keep the pace high and the team aligned.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the impact of different types of messaging and content throughout the customer journey to help accelerate the buying decision and support the entire customer lifecycle: from acquisition to advocacy across all key APAC markets

  • Evaluate merchant research, market conditions and competitor data to inform decisions. 

  • Foster a culture of critical thinking and healthy debate to ensure we’re focusing on the right activities at the right time, in the right APAC markets

  • Responsible for planning and budgetary control across APAC Regional Marketing

  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, as you will share and discuss the business at large as well as the impact of the marketing programs to the business and bottom line

  • Responsible for sharing insights and performance of campaigns on a regular basis across the Shopify business
